The Don Bosco Center’s Summer Community Library

No one planned for Covid-19, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make the best of it. Many youth activities have had to cancel for this summer, leaving many of our young people without their usual resources to stay engaged and productive. Therefore, The Don Bosco Center has endeavored to provide two alternatives to help children, youth, and their parents to keep their minds active and curiosity peaked, even while they continue to be stuck at home.

Our Community Library has two components, a free lending library and weekly enrichment kits with ideas and resources for fun, educational projects to try over the summer. Click below to find more information on either, or stop on by the library and see things for yourself!

The library is located in the parking lot of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, and will be open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday Through Saturday.

The Library will open on May 25th

Community Library

With the temporary closure of the Anderson County Public Library, many young people have lost a valuable resource: books. The Don Bosco Center has set up a temporary library in the parking lot of St. Lawrence Church to provide books and resources for the families of Anderson County.

At Home Enrichment

Since school is unable to resume this year, finding ways to keep young minds engaged over the summer is more imporant than ever. The Don Bosco Center is committed to providing weekly enrichment kits to help parents and children alike find fun and meaningful ways to keep their minds active and learning.
